The Ram cross country teams ran Aug. 27 at the inaugural Woodward-Granger meet at Jester Park and returned home with three medals.
Kassie Lamoureux was fourth and Conner Allender was sixth in the girls race. Logan Woodruff was 10th in the boys race. “The conditions were hot and humid but the team overall ran great,” coach Jeff Lamoureux said. “Eight of the 16 that competed bettered their time from Thursday’s meet at ISU.”
Times and places in the girls race were Kassie Lamoureux, 4th, 24:12; Conner Allender, 6th, 24:31; Ashlee Harmeyer, 11th, 25:48; Makala Kafer, 15th, 27:08; Izzy Bravard, 17th, 27:13; Tieryn Tucker, 24th, 34:07; and Kirsten Lamoureux, 25th, 34:07. The winning time was 21:39 set by Lauren Ratliff of Baxter.
Team scores for the girls were Woodward-Granger 40, Baxter 44, Greene County 51, and Coon Rapids-Bayard 84. Clarke and Saydel did not have enough runners for team scores.
Times and places in the boys race were Logan Woodruff, 10th, 19:44; Jack Bryson, 11th, 19:56; Conner Brus, 14th, 20:29; Jayden Carstensen, 20th, 22:16; Trevor Lebeck, 22nd, 22:37; Jax Carstensen 23rd, 23, 23;04; Brian Hardaway, 27th, 24:52; Ethan Larsen, 43rd, 26:05; and Anthony Tolsdorf, 44th, 26:38. The winning time was 16:54 set by Logan Berg of Baxter.
Team scores for the boys were Saydel 28, Woodward-Granger 55, Baxter 65, and Greene County 77. Clarke and Coon Rapids-Bayard did not have enough runners for team scores.
The team will run at West Central Valley (Stuart) on Thursday.
